Advocacy is the support or recommendation of a particular cause or policy. Housing Advocacy Services aims to defend and safeguard the voice of the individual when decisions are being made regarding their lives.
Our Purpose
Housing Advocacy Services was formed for the charitable purpose of aiding people with hardships regarding housing, homelessness, pertaining to persons living in Monroe County. Specifically, people with disabilities and dissociated populations. The purpose is to end homelessness by providing case management, representative payee services and networking with other community providers in the greater Rochester area. We provide person-centered advocacy for supportive interaction to gain an independent healthy lifestyle.
How We Provide Support
Housing: Connections for Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, Affordable Apartment Leads
Advocacy: Housing, Health Insurance Assistance, Free Community Medical Services, Apartment Referrals, Treatment referrals along with Community Resources Intevention Aid
Services: Representative Payee, Case Management, Housing Referral Accessing Community Supports Such As: Social Services, Health Care, Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse Treatment, Furniture assistance upon request
